Research Institute
The PDA Training and Research Institute (TRI) is the premier educational arm of the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical science and technology through education, training, and applied research. Located at PDA’s Global Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, TRI is home to the independent, stand-alone Manufacturing Training Facility (MTF) which comprises of Grade A/B and ISO 5/7 cleanrooms and dedicated classrooms.
Each year, TRI trains over 1,000 professionals from around the globe, including more than 300 regulators and health authority representatives. TRI events span a wide range of topics such as aseptic processing, filtration, container closure integrity, and risk-based airflow visualization, compounding, lyophilization, and quality and compliance.
In addition to “open to the public” events, TRI offers customized, on-site training tailored to the specific needs of companies. These programs are designed to be convenient, cost-effective, and impactful—delivered where and when organizations need them most.
TRI’s mission is supported by donations of equipment, instruments, and services from industry partners, reinforcing its role as a collaborative hub for advancing pharmaceutical education and operational excellence.
